As I'd Mentioned... Back at the Closing, of - Chapter 3 of This Present Conversation...

It Was Basically... Because the Veterinarian-clinic was Closed "Yesterday"

(Just like it's Always Been... on a Sunday)

That - My Husband & I... Hadn't Driven up There....

In Search of a - "Logical" - Answer.

That Would Hopefully Help Us to Understand -

"HOW"

& Even - "WHY"

We'd Found the Sympathy Card & Letter,

That The Employees at This Veterinary Clinic have Sent us...

In Regards to our dog Toby's passing... a week ago today.

Just Laying There - in the EXACT SAME Location... of Our Front Yard...

Where Toby had Chased Frederick the 3rd to...

Prior to Him Being Brought Here - to This Very Clinic...

A Week Ago - This Morning

And Hence - This is Why -

I'm About to Have...

A Rather Interesting - "Questioning" & -

"Attempted-Explanatory"

Conversation

Between Myself -

& an Obviously - "Confused-Employee"...

Who's Currently Stationed Here - Behind, Their Main-entrance Counter

& All of Which - Had Actually...

Begun to unfold....

The Very moment, That I'd Entered...

& As I'd "Quickly Proceeded"... to Say -

"Hello...I Don't Know if You Remember me... But -"

"I Was in Here... a Week Ago This Morning...

With - My Husband & Our Dog... ... ... ... Sigh....

And... it Was Just, as You Were Opening Here...

That We'd Arrived"

(I now pause... for a quick, brief moment; in order to get a grip, on my emotions)

"And We Had Brought Our Dog Toby... in Here That Morning...

Because He Was Having "Extreme" Trouble Breathing"

The Receptionist - Quickly Responded -

"Yes I Remember Seeing You that Morning"

Myself -

"Then You Must Also Know...

That We Had Toby Put to Sleep Here... That Morning"

Receptionist -

"Yes I Remember"

Myself -

"Well... UMMMMM... The Reason Why I'm Here... This Morning...

I Suddenly - "Briefly" Paused.... While Quickly Finding Myself Feeling -

Rather Hesitant...

on "Trying" to "Somehow" - "Explain" -

The - "Unexplainable" - to a Complete Stranger -

& so - After a "Quick" Deep Breath - During That Pause - I Continued -

Is Because... I'd Like to Ask You... Something... About... um...

About a - "Sympathy Card"...

That You'd All Signed... and Sent to Our Home Address"

Receptionist -

"Yes...

We've Sent You a Card...

And - You Should Be Receiving it...

Either Tomorrow - Tuesday...

Or Maybe on Wednesday - at The Latest"

Myself -

"We've Already Received it"

"As That's The Reason Why - I Already Know - That You Sent It"

Receptionist - & with a Really "STUNNED LOOK" on her face -

Responded with -

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN...

You - "ALREADY" - Received It.!"

"IMPOSSIBLE"

Since I Hadn't Dropped into the mailbox...

Until Thursday "Night"... Last Week...

After Work!"

And So They Wouldn't Have Gotten it From The Mailbox -

Until Sometime on Friday...

And They ALSO - Don't Deliver on the Weekends"

Myself -

"Well Actually.... That's Why I'm Here...

Because - "NOT ONLY" - Did We Receive the Card & Letter...

That You Sent us...

Yesterday - & Which was a Sunday"

BUT - It Was "ALSO DELIVERED"... Right Onto Our Property"...

And - "NOT" Put In The Regular Mailboxes" -

That Are Located All Together at The End of Our Road"

Receptionist -

"I'm Sorry - But Like I Said - That's Not Possible"

"As You -

HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT" -

"Because - We Don't Just Drop off - Any Cards or Mail...

To ANY House Address"

"And Because - Everything We Send -

Is Always Dropped into The Mailbox After Work - on that day"

"That This is WHY - Like I Explained - a Moment Ago -

You Should Be Receiving the Card - by -

Either Tomorrow or Wednesday"

"As I Dropped it in the Mailbox after Work - on Thursday Night"

"Yes - Well I'm - "SORRY as WELL" -

If What - "I AM TRYING" to "EXPLAIN" to You -

"DOESN"T MAKE ANY SENSE - to You"

"BUT - THE "POINT" - THAT I AM TRYING TO MAKE is THAT -

I Quickly Paused - And Took A REALLY DEEP Slow-Breath -

Before Speaking Another Word -

That I "EVIDENTLY" - HAVEN"T RECEIVED - YET"

I Already Knew - That You'd Sent - That Letter & Card to Us -

At Our "Home Address" -

SIMPLY BECAUSE -

It Was ALREADY Delivered... Right Onto Our Property...

At it Was "EVEN PLACED" Down... in a Certain Location...

Which I Don't Want to Try, and Explain to You...

At Least - Not Right Now"

Pause

"And so... Basically - What I'D "Simply" Like to Know -

Right "NOW" - is -

"WHO"

WAS IT -

That Had Delivered the Card & Letter to our Home Property...

And of course -

WHY - DID -

"THEY"

Just Lay it Down... on the Grass Section of our Property...

Where We'd Found it... Yesterday... on Sunday morning?"

Oh Dear - Evidently - This Flustered Receptionist - Is Suddenly -

Becoming Rather Baffled & Extremely Confused...

By "BOTH" -

My - "Simple Questions"...

And of Course - By This Evidently -

"UNKNOWN"

At Least To Her Personally -

"Postal Service Information"

As She Now Replies - in a Way "Louder More Affirmative Voice -

"LOOK ....

I AM SORRY....

BUT -

It's Just That...

WHAT YOU'RE SAYING TO ME... RIGHT NOW

MAKES "ABSOLUTELY" - NO SENSE"

"SINCE - & LIKE I've - ALREADY EXPLAINED TO YOU -

About Our Dog Waiting for us - at "Heaven's Gate"...

Are Evidently Unable to Explain - What Has Happened - or

More importantly -

"HOW"

Any of This - Could've Happened in the FIrst Place"

Is Actually Quite Humorous... at Least to Me...

CHASING "THE SPIRITS OF SQUIRRELS & CHIPMUNKS"...

ON THE OUTSIDE AREA... of THOSE HEAVENLY GATES...

UNTIL WE JOINED HIM...

SO THAT WE COULD "ALL"...

FROM THE - MORTALS, THE DOGS, AND EVEN THE SQUIRRELS & CHIPMUNKS...
